1) Work smart.
After 6 months of weekly commuting to Washington D.C., I found that working long hours was not enough to keep up with my personal and business obligations. It was during this nomadic period that I honed my management skills and explored ways to nurture relationships from afar. Now, when I see friends exhausting themselves, I suggest that they reflect on their obligations, then prioritize, automate, and delegate.
2) Invest in relationships.
Whether with my friends or colleagues, the time I've invested in relationships has correlated to the amount of trust and integrity that exists within each. I have found that once trust is established, sharing ideas and questioning assumptions leads to exceptional collaborations and extraordinary friendships.
3) Prioritize health.
For better or worse, I battled obesity throughout my adolescence. As a result of this experience, I am motivated to eat nutritiously and exercise regularly to maintain an able body and curious mind.
